Last night the internet was alive with the chatter that Bayern Munich had agreed personal terms with Nicolas Jackson, anticipating a potential transfer to the Bundesliga.
Bayern are said to be looking at a loan deal – we’re not sure how Chelsea will react to that.
Certainly they’d prefer a permanent sale most likely, and they do have offers on that front too. Football Insider insist that Aston Villa are front runners for the striker, according to their main man Pete O’Rourke.

“There’ll be a number of clubs looking at Nicolas Jackson in the last days of the transfer window. He’s out of favour at Chelsea, well down the pecking order, they have given him the green light to go, and there’s obvious links between Jackson and Unai Emery,” O’Rourke wrote.
“Emery gave him his La Liga debut at Villarreal, the two of them both have a good relationship, and Emery is hoping that will give his team the advantage as they follow up their interest in Jackson. It’s a deal they are working on and an agreement is a high possibility. Villa are in pole position.”
While we have no doubt that Emery is a big Jackson fan and that Villa would love to sign the striker, they have PSR issues, and we all know that Chelsea are going to be looking for big money for the forward – we’d imagine well over £60m.
It’s still quite hard to see the Villains paying that. We could still be surprised – perhaps Chelsea will agree a Premier League loan deal instead of the Bayern move.
Either way, it’s very impressive how much interest there is in him.
