AS Monaco is pleased to announce the contract extension of Mika Biereth. The 22-year-old Danish international striker is now committed to the Principality Club until June 2030.
Arriving last January from Sturm Graz (Austria), Mika Biereth quickly adapted to his new environment and played a significant role in the Rouge & Blanc qualifying for the Champions League for the second consecutive season.
The Danish forward particularly stood out with his finishing skills, scoring 13 goals and providing 2 assists in just 16 Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches, becoming the first player recruited during a winter transfer window to reach such a goal tally in a single L1 season in the 21st century. Thanks to his performances in the Diagonale jersey, Biereth climbed into the top 10 of the 2025 Golden Shoe standings.
Among his feats: three hat-tricks, against AJ Auxerre (in only 8 minutes and 10 seconds), FC Nantes, and Stade de Reims, as well as a decisive goal in the derby win over OGC Nice (2-1).
His early adventure with the Principality Club has been marked by records. He became the fastest player in Ligue 1 history, since the 1947-48 season, to reach the 10-goal mark, achieving this in just seven matches. He is also the first to record three consecutive hat-tricks at home since 1956.
Already a Denmark U21 international, the 1.87m tall striker has impressed in red and white, earning a call-up last March to the senior national team to compete in the Nations League. More recently, in June, Mika opened his account for the national team by scoring his very first goal against Lithuania.
Now under contract until 2030, Mika will continue to bring his scoring instinct and selflessness to the Rouge & Blanc. Daghe Mika! 🇲🇨
