Arsenal will kick off their European venture at home against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, 20 September, at 8pm. The match is seen as an opportune moment for the Gunners to make an assertive statement.
These fixtures fall on the 3rd and 24th of October, respectively, both scheduled for 8pm UK time.
Arsenal will play host to Sevilla (8th) and Lens (29th) in November, with both matches crucial in determining the club’s chances of advancing from the group stage.
The group stage will draw to a close with a 5.45pm kick-off against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday, 12 December.
This second leg could very well be a determining factor in Arsenal’s Champions League fate.
Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu remarked on the significance of the club’s return to this esteemed competition.
“It’s a big bonus from the last season,” he noted. “The way we behave as a club, the way the players, the staff, everyone works to be back in the Champions League, it’s a big bonus now.”
Further elaborating, Edu emphasised the collective joy this should bring. “I’m pretty sure the fans will enjoy the competition. Everyone deserves it and let’s enjoy it again,” he said.
