Arsenal conclude their Premier League campaign with a trip to face relegated Southampton at St Marys.
Mikel Arteta’s side have ended the 2024/25 season in second, a third consecutive runners-up finish in the Premier League. The North Londoners will want to end the season on a positive performance at the south coast.
Southampton will play Championship football next season. The Saints were relegated with a record-breaking seven games to spare this season. Only Derby County in 2007/08 have ever won less than their current return of 12 points in a Premier League season.
William Saliba will sit out Arsenal’s final-day clash after picking up a hamstring injury against Newcastle last week. Saliba joins centre-back partner Gabriel Maghalaes on the sidelines, alongside ACL victim Gabriel Jesus and Japan defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Mikel Merino returns from suspension, while Kai Havertz is pushing for inclusion. The German returned from his hamstring injury last weekend.
Jorginho could make his final appearance for Arsenal ahead of joining Flamengo in the summer.
David Raya is aiming for the Premier League Golden Glove. The Spaniard is currently level with Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels for clean sheets (13).
Arsenal predicted XI: Raya; White, Calafiori, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.
Southampton host Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday May 25th 2025. Kick-off at St Marys is 4pm BST.
The game has not been selected for live television coverage in the UK.
