Viktor Gyokeres is relishing the chance to play with Eberechi Eze - and believes Arsenal can be a “massive threat going forward” this season.
Eze completed his move to Arsenal on Saturday, arriving as part of a deal worth an initial £60million plus £7.5m add-ons.
The attacking midfielder will start training with his new Arsenal team-mates on Monday and is in line to make his debut on Sunday, when the Gunners travel to Anfield.
Eze arrives at Arsenal, his boyhood club, after establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s best playmakers at Crystal Palace - and Gyokeres cannot wait to link up with him.
“He is a great player,” he said. “Of course, he will add a lot of quality to the team. It will be great to train with him this week and, of course, play with him as well.”
Gyokeres got off the mark for Arsenal on Saturday during their 5-0 win over Leeds, finding the net twice.
“It felt good, he said. “It was nice to get 90 minutes, of course, to get the rhythm going and play with the guys even more. I think it was a good game overall.
“I felt good today, of course, scoring two and the team scoring five. I think that showed that we can be a massive threat going forward because we have a lot of great players attacking but also, of course, it's very important with the defending as well.

“I think we pressed very good today and didn’t give them much time on the ball. I think we deserved this win today.
“It was a good Saturday for us. I think we started off well, created a lot of chances and we played good overall. I think we could have scored a few more goals in the first half, I had a good chance.
“But we kept going and took our chances. I think we were solid in the defence as well. They only had a chance from a corner and, apart from that, we had a good win.”
