Thomas Partey is ready to rebuff lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia because he wants to sign a new contract with Arsenal.
Partey is into the final two months of his deal at Emirates Stadium and is yet to agree fresh terms.
Arsenal want the Ghana midfielder to stay and have held talks with his camp in recent weeks.
Partey would ideally like the situation resolved before Arsenal’s final game of the season next week at Southampton, but it could rumble on beyond then.

The 31-year-old has interest from Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus, while clubs in Saudi Arabia are now also keen.
But it is understood Partey’s preference to be sign a new contract at Arsenal and he hopes an agreement can be found.
He has enjoyed arguably his best season since joining Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 for around £45million.
Partey has also had his best record with injuries since moving to north London and is set to make 50 appearances for the first time since the 2017-18 season at Atletico Madrid.
Arsenal are planning to bolster their midfield this summer with the arrival of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

Zubimendi has a release clause of around £50m and the expectation is he will move to Arsenal at the end of the season.
The Spain midfielder has been linked with several big clubs, including Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Arsenal have a good relationship with Real Sociedad after successfully buying Mikel Merino from them last summer for around £30m.
The Gunners are set to lose Jorginho from their midfield as the Italian has an offer on the table from Brazilian club Flamengo.
The 33-year-old, like Partey, will be out of contract at the end of next month and has not agreed fresh terms.
Jorginho almost left Arsenal a year ago but he signed a one-year deal. It is thought Flamengo are offering him at least a two-year contract.
