Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, and Juventus are keeping tabs on Carlos Augusto, who’s fine at Inter but wouldn’t mind having a starring role. Instead, he has to split time with Federico Dimarco at San Siro. He’s not at the point of asking out, but a few teams are calling to inquire about his availability, Tuttomercatoweb informs.

Los Colchoneros are looking for a left-back and missed out on Theo Hernandez. Arsenal will likely add one too after selling Oleksandr Zinchenko. New director Andrea Berta, who previously worked for La Liga giants, is a big fan. Instead, the Bianconeri would target him if they sold Andrea Cambiaso. Manchester City are no longer tracking him, but he’s into Milan and Napoli’s crosshairs.

Inter are pleased with the growth of Carlos Augusto since they acquired him from Monza for about €13M. He has quickly become a viable alternative to Dimarco and occasionally outperformed his competitor. He has put up 3 goals and 7 assists in 49 matches in the 2024/2025 campaign.

The Nerazzurri have every intention of keeping him, but, since nobody is truly untouchable on the transfer market, a €30M offer could pique their interest.

Our Take on Inter and Carlos Augusto

He dug his heels in to join them a couple of years ago, even though he knew what he was getting into. His progression and adaptation to the ‘braccetto’ role were impressive. Chances are he’ll stay, but he’d be a surefire starter in most other teams. There’s little to no traction about Cambiaso’s exit. Perhaps the Old Lady will keep Filip Kostic for depth purposes, as they are more active seeking right wing-backs than lefties. Milan should probe him just in case.
