Manchester City have been dealt a huge injury blow ahead of their game against Brighton & Hove Albion tomorrow, with Erling Braut Haaland ruled out of the game.

They will be desperate to win against the Seagulls tomorrow and keep their title hopes alive. City will return to the top of the table if they win their two games in hand.

However, being without Halaand is a blow, and leaving Brighton without a win will put the title race firmly in Arsenal’s control.

Arsenal no longer have any injury worries and could soon have Jurrien Timber available for selection after he returned to action for the first time in eight months on Monday.

The 22-year-old featured in a Premier League 2 match against Blackburn Rovers under-21s at Ewood Park. He played in the first half and capped his return with a brilliant strike.

Timber could feature against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Everton, and manager Mikel Arteta cannot wait to finally have him available for selection.

Man City will hope Haaland returns for the trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, but the damage may have been done by the end of tomorrow given how tough it is facing Brighton.
