Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.
Hayters and Mirror Sport first reported Arsenal’s interest in the Bees captain last week and the Gunners have since moved for the 31-year-old.
An agreement is close to being finalised for the Denmark international to head to the Emirates, with Arsenal also close on bringing in goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea and midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
They are continuing their efforts to bring in a forward too, with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres among their targets.
But Liverpool are also set to join the race for Gyokeres, according to Correio da Manha, with Darwin Nunez potentially leaving the club for Napoli if a deal can be reached.
Elsewhere, Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Juventus are continuing talks to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, who is one of a number of forwards on their list of targets.
ESPN are reporting that the Blues are closing in on the signing of winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, however.
Meanwhile, the Guardian say Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo.
The Independent say Everton are still hoping to lure Kenny Tete away from Fulham despite the Cottagers offering a new contract to the Dutch defender.
And Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has confirmed he will stay with the club this summer, saying: “My future is here. My friends send me a lot of news but 99 per cent is fake news. You guys need the news to get a like on social media, but [there is] a lot of fake news around my name.
“My head is here, to stay with City, give everything for us to win back the Premier League, try to win the Champions League as well. My mind is staying in the club.”
