Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of Crystal Palace attacker Ebere Eze.
Tottenham had been in talks to sign the 27-year-old, but the Athletic say Eze now looks headed to the Gunners.
Eze played for Arsenal as a youngster in their academy, and it is claimed that personal terms and a transfer fee have now been agreed for him to return to the club.
The deal is said to be worth around £68m, with Arsenal matching the terms Tottenham were prepared to pay.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s owners BlueCo are set to sign Brighton forward Julio Enciso for Strasbourg but view him as a future Blues player, the Athletic also say.
Enciso spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town, playing 13 times in the Premier League and scoring twice.
But Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku look set to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window, with Blues boss Enzo Maresca confirming that neither will be in the squad to face West Ham on Friday.
Defender Renato Veiga also looks to be on his way out, with Fabrizio Romano claiming a deal has been agreed for him to join Villarreal on a permanent basis.
Elsewhere, Sky Sports say Newcastle have seen their latest bid for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa rejected.
The offer was said to be made up of £35m plus add-ons which took the fee to around £40m.
Wissa was left out of the Bees squad for their opening game defeat to Nottingham Forest and wants to leave the club.
Bournemouth have completed the £25m signing of winger Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen, signing a five-year deal with the club.
And Hayters.com understands that interest is being shown in Leicester City winger Silko Thomas, who could leave the club before the end of the transfer window.
