Arsenal have found form in recent weeks as the Gunners end the year with a run of strong performances. An inconsistent start has left the North Londoners with work to do in the title race, though Mikel Arteta’s men are well place to qualify for the Champions League’s knockout rounds.
After season-upon-season progress under the Spaniard, can Arsenal get over the line in the big competitions in 2025?
Arsenal face some huge fixtures on the horizon in the new year, starting with the short trip to face Brentford on New Year’s Day.
A tricky run of games follows with Brighton (A) followed by the North London Derby against Tottenham at the Emirates and a home date with Aston Villa. Elsewhere, there’s a crunch cup clash with Manchester United and the club’s Champions League league phase campaign also concludes in January. Here are some of the club’s notable fixtures.
Here are the latest Arsenal odds for some key outcomes:
● Premier League Title: Arsenal’s odds to win the title stand at 3/1 reflecting their strong position as one of the contenders.
● Top Four Finish: The odds for Arsenal securing a top-four finish are 1/33, a relatively safe bet given their consistency.
● Champions League Winner: Arsenal’s odds to lift the prestigious trophy for the first time are 6/1, with the Gunners the joint-second favourites alongside Real Madrid. Only Liverpool (4/1) are shorter priced. You can check the rest of the betting odds and promo options on this page.
Mikel Arteta has suggested Arsenal could invest in the January transfer window if the right opportunities arise. In the summer, the headline arrival was the £42m capture of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna. The Italy international has impressed despite sporadic spells out injured.
Mikel Merino also joined from Real Sociedad after winning Euro 2024 with Spain, while David Raya’s loan from Brentford was made permanent. Arsenal added depth with the loan signings of Raheem Sterling and Neto from Chelsea and Bournemouth respectively.
Bukayo Saka: An obvious answer, but the Hale End graduate continues to get better. He’s been in productive mood during the opening months of the season with only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah directly involved in more goals in 2024/25.
Ethan Nwaneri: The Premier League’s youngest-ever player when he made his debut at 15 in September 2022. This season, Nwaneri has been drip-fed first-team football and has impressed with four goals in all competitions. Still just 17, his potential is immense.
Myles Lewis-Skelly: Another academy product, the 18-year-old a maturity that has defied his years this season. Though he’s featured predominantly at left-back to date, it’s expected he will settle in midfield as he adapts to senior football.
