Liverpool winger Ben Doak has been informed that he is free to leave the club midway through the season.
Crystal Palace and Ipswich are keen on signing the 19-year-old attacker. They have already had offers of around £15 million and £16 million rejected for the player. It will be interesting to see if they decide to come forward with an improved offer.
Doak is currently on loan at Middlesbrough and he has done reasonably well for the Championship outfit. He will look to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football. A mid-season exit could be ideal for him.
Liverpool will not be able to provide him with the platform he needs, and it would be ideal for him to move on and join the club where he will get ample first-team opportunities. According to a report from Rousing the Kop, manager Arne Slot has already informed the player that he is not a key part of his plans going forward.
Meanwhile, Liverpool value the player at around £25 million, and it will be interesting to see if any club is willing to offer that kind of money for him.

Doak is highly rated around the country and he has the potential to develop into a reliable Premier League attacker with the right guidance. The likes of Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town would be attractive destinations for him. It remains to be seen whether they decide to improve their offers for the player. Other clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation and a permanent move to Middlesbrough has not been ruled out either.
Former Everton striker James McFadden described him as a player who is rapid and has the technical ability as well.
McFadden said a few months ago: “We all know he’s rapid and often you get players who are really quick but don’t have technical ability. But you can see he has got that. His first touch is good, it takes him where he wants to go.”
If Liverpool can recoup £25 million for the player, it would be a good deal for them and it could help them improve their squad.
