Antwerp winger keen on Celtic move as club ask for €6m | OneFootball

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Celtic remain interested in Antwerp winger Michel Ange Balikwisha. The Belgian is also said to be keen on the move, but one stumbling block may be that Antwerp are asking for €6m. That is not surprising, given that Balikwisha is one of their best assets and the side need to recoup as much as they can for their key players in order to reinvest in the squad. Without European football to bring in the cash, Antwerp are having to be shrewd this summer.

While the price may be steep, a fit and healthy Balikwisha could prove to be successful in Scottish football. His ability to beat a man and score goals will certainly endear him to the Celtic fans. Despite an injury hit season last year, the 24-year-ols still managed four goals and three assists in 17 appearances, finding form late on in the campaign. Prior to that, he had hit double figures in both the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 campaigns.
