Amid a season of ups and downs, Tottenham Hotspur has found its players struggling with inconsistency, with their captain facing criticism for his lack of form.
Currently sitting in ninth place in the Premier League, Spurs continue to fight for a path to glory, holding onto hope that their players can deliver when it matters most.
Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, is confident that Son Heung-min can still deliver at the highest level, much like Mohamed Salah has done despite earlier doubts about his form.

Son, who is one of Tottenham’s most prolific forwards and a key player in their attack, has not quite reached the levels of previous seasons.
However, Postecoglou remains optimistic about his potential to regain that form, drawing comparisons with Salah’s resurgence.
Salah, despite some questioning his form last season, has answered critics with impressive performances this campaign, netting 15 goals and providing 12 assists in just 21 appearances.
His output in the Premier League, leading the scoring chart with 13 goals and eight assists, shows that doubts about his ability were premature.
According to Football London, Postecoglou, aware of the natural decline that can come with age, believes that Son is far from reaching that stage.
“I don’t see that in Sonny, I still think he’s got a hell of a lot of quality and from a physical standpoint, the way he looks after himself; I don’t see his abilities diminishing just due to the age factor at the moment. I don’t see that," said Postecoglou.
The Tottenham boss argues that Son still has a lot of quality left in his game and, crucially, a mindset and physical condition that will help him reach his peak again.
While Son’s form this season may have been disrupted by injuries, Postecoglou is hopeful that consistent playing time will help the forward return to his best.
The manager points out that Son has faced setbacks this season but remains confident that with more regular involvement, his output will increase.
Postecoglou’s faith in Son’s abilities is unwavering, and he suggests that while Son’s output this season may not match his previous highs, it is important to remember the exceptional standards Son has set in the past.
What stands out most to Postecoglou, however, is Son’s unwavering commitment both on and off the pitch.
The manager praises Son for always giving 100% in training, regardless of external expectations or his current form. Son’s consistent attitude, optimism, and work ethic are qualities that Postecoglou greatly values in his players.
In conclusion, despite recent struggles, the boss does not doubt that Son Heung-min can find his best form again.
With the right support and consistency, Son could once again be one of the most prolific forwards in the Premier League, much like Mohamed Salah has proven to be.
