Anderlecht want €8m for Lazio target

Lazio are interested in signing Anderlecht defender Jan-Carlo Simic. According to HLN, the 20-year-old defender, who came from Serie A to Belgium, is open to a move back to Italy to join the side from Rome. Anderlecht are looking for Lazio to part with around €8m for the central defender. Simic has played four games this season having but is currently sidelined with an injury. He is on the road to recovery and has been training individually as he builds fitness.
Simic joined Anderlecht from AC Milan a few seasons ago for just €3m. The defender, who was once part of the VFB Stuttgart set up, made just six appearances for AC Milan after joining in 2022. During his debut season at Anderlecht he was ever present, making 49 appearances with four goals and two assists. Given his age, it is clear that Lazio view Simic has a talent for the future. For Anderlecht, they have seen a number of key defenders leave in past seasons, with Zeno Debast moving to Sporting in Portugal and Jan Vertonghen hanging up his boots this summer.
