The Italian is likely to have most of his star players available for this crucial encounter. But with a bigger squad, also comes bigger decisions.

To that end, Ancelotti is facing one major selection dilemma heading into the Bayern Munich game.

Will Tchoumeni and Camavinga both play vs Bayern?

Ancelotti’s sole dilemma revolves around the positioning of French youngster Aurelien Tchouameni, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The versatile midfielder has impressed in both central defence and defensive midfield roles this season. He has established himself as a trusted defensive option for Ancelotti.

As per the report, Ancelotti seems drawn to utilizing Tchouameni’s defensive solidity at the heart of the backline, alongside Eder Militao.

This would free up a midfield slot for the dynamic Eduardo Camavinga, who could partner with the ever-reliable Toni Kroos.

However, Ancelotti hasn’t ruled out deploying Tchouameni in his more familiar midfield role, with Nacho Fernandez operating in central defensive alongside Militao.

Tchouameni starting in midfield, though, could create complications for Camavinga, who might have to settle for a place on the bench.

Nevertheless, Ancelotti is likely to go for the former option, with Tchouameni partnering Militao in central defence. His athleticism, after all, could be pivotal in keeping the likes of Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane quiet in the defensive third.

Barring this Tchouameni-Camavinga conundrum, the rest of the team appears settled, with the likes of Vinícius Jr., Rodrygo, and Fede Valverde expected to continue their attacking exploits while Andriy Lunin should start in goal ahead of Thibaut Courtois.
