David Alaba’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has firmly shut down rumours linking the Real Madrid defender with a move to Saudi Arabia.

In recent days, there have been reports claiming clubs from the Saudi Arabian Pro League were preparing an approach for the Austrian international this summer.

However, Zahavi has made it clear there has been no contact whatsoever with any Saudi club. Speaking exclusively to 365Scores, the agent denied the speculation outright.

“All the reports circulating about Alaba’s move to the Saudi Arabian Premier League are false. There have been no negotiations or offers made to the player at this time.” Zahavi stated.

He went on to add, “Talk about the player being open to a move to Saudi Arabia isn’t true, as there haven’t even been any official offers to negotiate. Everything that’s been circulated is just rumours.”

In recent transfer windows, Saudi Arabian clubs have made headlines by securing some of the biggest names in world football.

With the summer market in full swing, top sides such as Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ittihad and Al Ahli are expected to compete fiercely for high-profile signings to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.

Yet, despite their ambition and financial power, Alaba is not among the players on the verge of making the move.

Zahavi’s remarks put an end to the speculation, at least for now, suggesting the Austrian remains fully committed to Real Madrid.

Alaba, who was a key figure in Carlo Ancelotti’s defence until his injury, still has a vital role to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With no official offers or negotiations in place, the 33-year-old’s focus appears to be on helping Real Madrid in their push for silverware, rather than entertaining a move to the Middle East.
