Aberdeen are not aware of any bid or interest from any club in Turkey in 24-year-old defender Slobodan Rubezic, according to journalist Scott Burns.

Reports in Turkey have suggested that second-division side Sakaryaspor have reached an agreement in principle with the Scottish Premiership club to sign the Montenegro international.

It has even been claimed that the player is set to arrive in Turkey to undergo his medical before finalising a move.

However, those reports do not appear to be true.

Aberdeen are not aware of any interest or bid from the Turkish club for their player.

It now remains to be seen whether there is any change of scenario in the coming days.

Rubezic has featured in 20 Scottish Premiership and five Scottish League Cup matches for Aberdeen so far this season having made two goal contributions.

Aberdeen still have him tied down with a contract until the summer of 2026.
