Maximo Perrone becomes another young player to leave Manchester City.

In recent years, Manchester City has made a small fortune in selling promising young players. Across Europe and the Premier League, there are a host of players who have risen through the ranks at City to make an impact at the highest level. Although Perrone didn’t come through Manchester City’s youth system, he was signed by the club from Argentinian club Velez Sarsfield. When Perrone joined City, the hope was that he could potentially develop into a player that could become a member of Pep Guardiola’s squad. But Perrone’s path to regular first-team football has been blocked given the quality midfielders that Pep Guardiola has at his disposal. The young midfielder spent last season out on loan and has now earned himself a permanent move to Como.

How Perrone progresses in Serie A will be interesting to watch unfold. He likely wouldn’t never had gotten an opportunity to impress at Manchester City. So a permanent move to Como is the best move for him. City also pick up a tidy transfer fee for the midfielder so Perrone’s imminent move seems like a win for all parties.
