A MEMORABLE 2024 FOR MILAN PRIMAVERA | OneFootball

An exhilarating year, lived to the fullest every week, despite the numerous changes in between seasons. As 2024 comes to a close, it's been an excellent year for our Men's Primavera, who wrapped up the calendar year with two important away wins in the league,  securing a spot in the Playoff zone. The results away to Sassuolo and Monza marked a true resilience and ability to bounce back after setbacks against Crvena Zvezda and Juventus. The best way possible to end a 12-month period where the highest level team of our youth sector has been a standout performer at the highest levels. Firstly, in Europe, with a strong presence in the Final Four of the Youth League and by reaching the final in Nyon; then in Italy, securing a spot in the Scudetto Playoffs, a feat that hadn't been achieved for a few years. After a Summer of changes, with several players "stepping up to" Milan Futuro and the arrival of Coach Guidi in the dugout, the Rossoneri have maintained their top-tier performance at national level. The unfortunate European journey doesn't overshadow an otherwise excellent season.

The satisfaction of Coach Guidi should therefore come as no surprise as he reflects on the first half of the season at the midpoint of the calendar year: "It's important that the players treat every opportunity as a chance to grow and improve, continuously. Doing this will enable them to fast-track their journey into professional football. We have a highly receptive, sensitive, and responsible group: there was fertile ground for us to instil this mentality. Our mission to project as many of them into the football that matters".

"To do this, we must support them through the process, focusing not just on the playing time but on the quality of those minutes on the pitch, as well as the effort put into every training session", the Coach continues. "I take great pride in knowing that we are the side that has given the most playing time to players across the entire league (40 players have played in Primavera 1 in total) and this is synonymous with wanting to develop everyone without leaving anyone behind. We are attentive to everyone's journey. This is a group that has overcome numerous difficulties, and that deserves praise for the way in which it's growing. We ask a lot of them, we know how much they and their families sacrifice. My wish is that the coming months will bring even more satisfaction".
