Manchester United fans are absolutely disgruntled by INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe who insist on pulling off PR disasters on an almost weekly basis.

The famous businessman and his group acquired a minority stake at the club almost a year ago, but their agreement with majority owners, the Glazer family, allowed them to acquire control over the club’s day-to-day operations,

But while Ratcliffe’s arrival at Carrington was initially greeted with enthusiasm and optimism, things have been unravelling as of late due to a string of unpopular decisions coupled with terrible results on the pitch.

The British billionaire has been reiterating the need to cut costs in order to make the club financially sustainable. This includes cutting 250 jobs and reducing the employers’ Christmas bonus.

And yet, Ratcliffe and Co. are showing any signs of slowing down in this newly-implemented strategy, as the have now decided to stop funding the Association of Former Manchester United Players, a charity group that aims to support some of the club’s former players who weren’t fortunate enough to earn the hefty wages today’s players collect.

As the Sun notes, this charity risks collapsing without the club’s usual £40,000 per year support.

Hence, the Man United fans are particularly outraged with this particular decision as they’re beginning to run out of patience with INEOS and their controversial policies.

“It’s more than ridiculous – it’s a disgrace,” said the outspoken Mark Goldbridge when tackling the matter.

This football club may be about winning on the pitch, this football club may be about transfers. But this football club is also [about] community. This is not what we want at our football club.

“Good people are being sacked. Good people are not getting bonuses. And now good people are getting their costs cut.”

Goldbridge’s views were echoed by a host of Man United supporters on social media, demanding an explanation from INEOS on their unpopular decisions.
