No fewer than eight members of the youth setup at La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid were afforded the chance to impress in first-team training on Saturday.
This comes amid ongoing preparations for Real’s post-international break return to action on Sunday.
Los Blancos are primed to kick their campaign back into gear in 24 hours’ time, when they make the trip to The Estadio Municipal de Butarque, for a meeting with Leganés.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops will head into proceedings hopeful of building on a return to form last time out, having looked back to their best en route to a 4-0 drubbing of Osasuna.
In efforts towards as much, though, Real, once more, will be forced to make do without a number of key performers.
This comes with all of David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Rodrygo and Lucas Vázquez unavailable for selection through injury.
In the face of such woes, some of Castilla’s next crop of breakthrough stars were therefore drafted into first-team training.
As per a report from Relevo, eight such players were spotted at Valdebebas on Friday, in the form of:
Raúl Asencio, Diego Aguado, David Jiménez, Cristian David, Daniel Yáñez, Gonzalo García, Sergio Mestre and Guillermo Súnico.
Defender Asencio is a lock to be called up to face Leganés, with it now remaining to be seen if Ancelotti and his staff opt for further Castilla inclusions, too.
