3 Bundesliga players Premier League clubs should consider

As silly season begins, the rumours start to circle, and players across the continent get ready to upend their lives in pursuit of a bigger paycheck or the next step in their footballing careers; sometimes, those things go hand in hand.

Liverpool are about to smash the British transfer record on Florian Wirtz, who is arguably the best player the German top flight has produced in the past five years. Benjamin Sesko is another player who will likely cost a fortune, but could very well be worth it, should he make the move.

Here are three Bundesliga stars we believe could follow Wirtz to the Premier League and where they might end up.

Angelo Stiller

The 24-year-old really came into his own this season. No matter who you play for, scoring four goals and providing 11 assists as a defensive midfielder is a pretty remarkable season. Unfortunately for Stiller, Stuttgart were unable to replicate the form that earned them Champions League football last season.

From a tactical standpoint, he frequently positions himself between the center-backs to support the team’s buildup from the back. Among midfielders in Europe’s top five leagues, Stiller stands out for his passing consistency and volume. He maintains a pass completion rate above 90% per game, showing particular proficiency with long balls and forward passes.

According to Marca, Xabi Alonso is keen on bringing Stiller to Real Madrid as he seeks to add a little bit of youth to an aging squad. That could well happen, but when it comes to Premier League sides, we think Liverpool would be the perfect destination.

Serhou Guirassy

Consistent goal scorers are hard to come by nowadays; it feels like every Premier League club would give anything to get one. Even Erling Haaland had an up-and-down season. Fresh off his first season with Borussia Dortmund, Guirassy has already been linked with a move away.

Only Harry Kane scored more Bundesliga goals than him last season, ending up tied for second in the race for the Golden Boot with Leverkusen forward Patrik Schick on 21 goals. Only three Premier League forwards scored more than that in 2024-25.

Arsenal are on a mission to finally get their hands on some silverware, and after five seasons without, the fans are starting to lose a little faith in ‘the process.’ Sesko appears to be the forward they’ve settled on, but if they don’t meet RB Leipzig’s massive asking price, Guirassy would be more than capable.

Jamie Gittens

Jadon Sancho 2.0, the 20-year-old, followed the exact same path as the Man United winger, leaving Man City for Dortmund in pursuit of first-team football. He found it under Nuri Sahin in the first half of the season, but once Nico Kovac he played less.

A right-footed left winger, he’s aggressive and fearless, happy to take on any defender that stands in his way. He often uses a soft touch to creep forward, drawing opponents, and then attacks with a burst of speed and strength.

Chelsea failed to sign him in the mini transfer window ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, but they’ll be back. The left wing position is one they’re priortising now Sancho has returned to United, and Mykhaylo Mudryk’s future is still up in the air following his drug ban.
