FLW take a look at two players who could also arrive at Carrow Road along with the Ghana international

Norwich City have secured the services of ex-Crystal Palace left-sider Jeffrey Schlupp - who spent the second half of last season on loan at Celtic - on a one-year deal on a free transfer.

The Ghanaian international, who made 18 appearances for the Bhoys in the 24/25 season, is perhaps exactly the type of experienced player that new manager Liam Manning needs if the Canaries are to push for promotion next season.

Schlupp's arrival at Carrow Road would mark another shrewd piece of business from sporting director Ben Knapper and his recruitment team, who have already secured impressive signings this summer - including £6.9m striker Mathias Kvistgaarden from Brondby and defender Harry Darling on a free transfer from Swansea City.

The 32-year-old's Premier League pedigree - having made 247 appearances for Palace and been part of Leicester City's 15/16 title-winning squad - would certainly be greatly appreciated by Manning and co.

However, Schlupp may not be the only player following this path to Norfolk - FLW take a look at two other targets potentially set to join the Canaries.

1 Jamal Lewis

Northern Ireland international Jamal Lewis could be set for an emotional return to his former club.

The 27-year-old left-back has emerged as a genuine target for Norwich, with West Brom, Middlesbrough, and the Canaries all reportedly interested in securing his signature on a free transfer following his release from Newcastle United.

Lewis came through the academy at Carrow Road and made his breakthrough into the professional game with them, and he made 28 appearances in Norwich's 19/20 Premier League campaign, also being named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year alongside teammates Max Aarons and Teemu Pukki the year prior.

His performances earned him a move to Newcastle for £15m in 2020, though his time at St James' Park has been hampered by limited opportunities and injury setbacks.

Lewis' recent loan spell at Sao Paulo was cut short due to an ankle injury that required surgery, but his recovery presents an opportunity for Norwich to bring back a player who obviously knows the club really well.

The tactical fit makes sense too - his ability to provide width in attacking phases mirrors the profile of player that has thrived under Manning's possession-based approach at Bristol City.

Now 27, Lewis still has plenty to offer and could provide extra attacking quality on the left-hand side that will be needed following Borja Sainz' £14.25m exit to FC Porto.

The second player who could follow Schlupp to Norwich is Famalicao's defensive midfielder Mirko Topic.

Portuguese outlet O Jogo reports that the Canaries are preparing to advance for the 24-year-old Serbian international.

Topic is a different profile to Schlupp and Lewis - a younger, developing talent who fits Norwich's strategy of identifying promising players from smaller European leagues before they make the step up to higher-level competitions.

Norwich have generated a large income from the sale of Sainz and could potentially bring in a lot more from Josh Sargent to Wolfsburg - although the German side has now apparently pulled out of the deal due to City's valuation.

This could mean that Norwich has the resources to invest in promising talent like Topic, who will likely demand a fee from Famalicao as his contract runs until 2027.

Topic, while primarily a defensive midfielder, has shown the ability to operate in a slightly higher role when required - which should also appeal to Manning.

Both Lewis and Topic would bring different qualities that would complete Schlupp's close arrival at City - Lewis offers proven experience and the emotional connection to the club, while Topic follows the continental strategy that has certainly served the club well in recent transfer windows.
