Kenan Yildiz not only emulated Alessandro Del Piero with a stunning Champions League curler against PSV Eindhoven but also became the youngest goal scorer in the competition for the Bianconeri, beating the former Italy international.

Yildiz gave Juventus the lead in the first half of their opening 2024-25 Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven at the Allianz Stadium.

Del Piero had scored his first Champions League goal in a similar fashion in 1995 in an away game at Borussia Dortmund, becoming the youngest goal scorer in the competition for the Serie A giants.

However, Yildiz didn’t only emulate the club legend and his role model, but he also beat him, becoming the youngest player to score for Juventus in the Champions League.

As reported by Opta on X, formerly Twitter, Del Piero was 20 years and 308 days old when he scored that iconic goal in Dortmund, while Yildiz found the net at 19 years and 136 days.
