This afternoon, Yann Sommer underwent surgery at the Istituto Humanities Pio X in Milano, to reduce and stabilise the fracture of the proximal phalanx of the the thumb in his right hand. The operation was a success. After a period of rest, as agreed on with Inter's medical staff, Sommer will begin his rehabilitation phase next week.
