While England gave the French a late scare, it was simply too little too late for the Lionesses.

England denied again as Lauren Hemp's shot is cleared off the line by Selma Bacha.

Keira Walsh strikes from the edge of the box to get one back for the Lionesses.
France have continued their attacking dominance in the second-half as they push for a third goal.

The French have dominated the opening 45 minutes, taking eight shots to England's three.
As a result, France go into the break with a deserved two-goal lead.

Sandy Baltimore doubles France's lead as she beats her defender and finishes into the top-right corner.

Alessia Russo thought she had given England an early lead but her goal was ruled out due to an offside in the build-up.

The dream start to their EURO 2025 campaign for the Netherlands with three goals. Vivianne Miedema with the opener, Victoria Pelova added the second, before Esmee Brugts rounded things off with the third.
Wales' tournament debut ends in defeat and Rhian Wilkinson's will have have plenty to ponder ahead of their next two games against France and England.
