There has been growing speculation that Jakub Kamiński could be on his way out of VfL Wolfsburg this summer, with reports in Germany linking the Polish winger with a move to 1. FC Köln.
Speaking to TVP Sport while on international duty with Poland, the 23-year-old winger declared himself open to a move.
“I’m open to leaving, I’d like a new challenge. But if Wolfsburg decide I need to fight for my place, I’ll have no choice. I’d prefer to leave - it could help me rediscover myself as a player,” Kaminski said.
The 23-year-old added that the lack of a stable position and scarce playing time made it difficult for him to find form in the 2024/25 campaign.
“I’m not happy - not with the minutes, and especially not with the results. It wasn’t a good club year for me.
"I played in six or seven different positions - no consistency or stability, which hurt my chances of building confidence. That affected me.”
With two years left on his contract, Kamiński believes a transfer fee in the region of €5–6 million could be enough to facilitate a move. He also mentioned a loan with an option to buy as an option.
“I’m personally leaning towards leaving and trying something new. I’ve spent three years at Wolfsburg, played just under 80 matches, had ups and downs - maybe it’s time for a change?”
