Antonio Conte’s Napoli were seen as the underdogs for a Serie A title in the summer, but they are now the favourites for the Scudetto with just three games remaining.

The Serie A title race is one of the most unpredictable in Europe, as football enthusiasts are well aware of using free spins no deposit bonus.

With four different winners in the last five years, Serie A’s unpredictability has been evident in recent seasons where no team has ever managed to defend the title and lift the Scudetto for two seasons in a row.

Simone Inzaghi’s Inter were everyone’s favourites in August despite no big signings in the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri had dominated in the previous campaign, winning the title with five games to spare in a historic derby della Madonnina against their city rivals Milan.

Things were very different for Il Biscione in 2024-25. They not only finished the campaign without victories against the Rossoneri, but they also saw Napoli jump to the front of the table in the final part of the campaign.

Back-to-back defeats against Bologna and Roma in April were paired by Napoli’s victories against Monza and Torino. The Partenopei won four of the last five games, while Inter only managed two, losing twice.

Inter, however, have been busy in all competitions this term, qualifying for the Champions League Final and Coppa Italia semis, while Napoli were eliminated in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 and didn’t play in any European competition this term.

“I don’t need to lie, this was an important step towards the Scudetto,” Conte said after a narrow 1-0 win over strugglers Lecce this past weekend.

“It is an important step, even if not the most important. I was afraid of Lecce on their own turf, as they are battling against relegation, while we arrived here dealing with an emergency situation.”

Another line from Conte’s post-match press conference gained attention from Italian media: “I’ll say it if and when it happens, because I have both won and lost titles on the final day. Those who win write the history books. The others can only read them.”

The Partenopei will meet Genoa, Parma and Cagliari in the last three Serie A games of the season, while Inter will face Torino, Lazio and Como.

Napoli had won the Serie A title for 33 years before 2022-23 when they lifted a historic Scudetto under Luciano Spalletti. This season’s title would be their third in the last three seasons, and now they are the favourites to win it.
