Serie A giants Milan are yet to seal a move for managerial target and Porto boss Sergio Conceicao and some reasons for that are now coming to the fore.

The Rossoneri opted out of a move for Julen Lopetegui after the club’s fans protested against it and have now seen Conceicao as a key target. Daniele Longo has reported about the case, stating that Jorge Mendes is trying his best to place his client at Milan and is using his influence to make the deal happen.

Milan’s dream target is Thiago Motta, who already has an agreement with Juventus. Conceicao is a leading candidate but as of now, his candidature doesn’t have full approval at the club. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it has been previously suggested, is much more keen on someone like Antonio Conte and it shows that Conceicao doesn’t have everyone’s liking. More than that, seeking an agreement with Porto to depart is taking time and that is causing a tense delay.

Mendes has a plan in place for Milan and if Conceicao does join, two of his clients could also end up at the Rossoneri. One player is Lille’s Tiago Santos and the second is Manuel Ugarte, who finds himself out of the project at Paris Saint-Germain and can be signed on an initial loan deal. Both these deals currently hinge on Conceicao’s move to Milan.
