City star Bernardo Silva has slammed Arsenal’s tactics while teammate John Stones revealed that Pep Guardiola’s side had struggled to deal with their “dirty” display. There were a number of flashpoints both throughout and after the game, though one of the standouts is surely Leandro Trossard ’s red card. They will now look to respond to whatever City do at Newcastle in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off when Mikel Arteta’s side host the Foxes at 3pm BST later that day.

The Gunners played out an enthralling 2-2 draw at the home of the champions on Sunday and the fallout continues to rage.

There were a number of flashpoints both throughout and after the game, though one of the standouts is surely Leandro Trossard’s red card.

The forward was sent off for a second booking in first-half stoppage time for kicking the ball away after referee Michael Oliver had blown the whistle for a foul.

Trossard, like Declan Rice against Brighton last month, was dismissed because he delayed the restart.

Arsenal then dropped deeper in the second-half and produced a resolute defensive display before Stones scored a last-gasp equaliser.

They will now look to respond to whatever City do at Newcastle in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off when Mikel Arteta’s side host the Foxes at 3pm BST later that day.

Arteta is already without captain Martin Odegaard due to injury and no doubt needs all the attacking support he can get, albeit the Gunners will be strong favourites anyway.

Why Leandro Trossard isn’t suspended for Arsenal vs Leicester

Luckily for the Arsenal boss, Trossard will be available for the Leicester clash.

The forward will instead serve his one-match suspension against Bolton in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup clash.
