Why Fede Valverde’s close circle are ‘concerned’ about his situation at Real Madrid | OneFootball

Those closest to Real Madrid star Federico Valverde are growing increasingly concerned when it comes to the physical wellbeing of the midfielder.

That’s according to Relevo, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.

Uruguayan international Valverde has of course continued to play a leading role for Real Madrid across the early weeks of the new campaign.

The 25-year-old, in fact, is the only member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad to have featured from the off in each and every one of the club’s fixtures thus far in 2024/25.

All told, Valverde has sat out just 20 minutes of Los Blancos’ 11 outings across all competitions.

Amongst Ancelotti and his coaching staff, confidence in the the midfielder’s fitness and physical wellbeing remains non-wavering, with Valverde as a result only expected to continue to rack up more minutes than any other on the far side of the international break.

Amongst the player’s inner circle, however, unrest is beginning to spread.

As per a report from the aforementioned Relevo:

‘Those around him, despite knowing that he is a physically super-gifted player, admit to a certain concern.’

Although Valverde has not suffered any kind of serious injury setback to this point in his career, his friends and family appear increasingly worried that, should his workload not be reduced in the near future, the Uruguayan is being put at risk of precisely as much.
