Lazio coach Marco Baroni has some tough decisions to make as he’ll be without club captain Mattia Zaccagni and top goalscorer Taty Castellanos in Thursday’s clash against Viktoria Plzen.
The Biancocelesti are preparing to resume their Europa League campaign with an away contest in the Czech Republic. They will take on Plzen in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 before hosting them in the following week for the decisive second fixture. However, Castellanos remains out of action due to muscle injury, while Zaccagni will be rested after suffering a calf problem.
So according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Baroni has decided to retry Tijjani Noslin in attack. The Dutchman disappointed against Venezia, prompting the manager to replace him with Loum Tchaouna against Inter and AC Milan. The former Hellas Verona will be supported by Boulaye Dia who will play as second striker, while the in-form Gustav Isaksen maintains his spot on the right.
With Zaccagni out, Pedro is expected to start on the left wing, especially after scoring the winner against Milan from the spot. Matteo Guendouzi and Nicolo Rovella will operate in the double-pivot as usual, while Mario Gila could be rested, with Alessio Romagnoli and Samuel Gigot starting at the back alongside Manuel Lazzari and Nuno Tavares, and Christos Mandas in goal.
