The charm of Thiago Motta and his previous ties with Paris Saint-Germain were apparently enough to convince Randal Kolo Muani (26) to join Juventus.
On Tuesday, the French striker agreed to the personal terms with the Italian side, and in doing so, rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham appeared to be on the verge of signing the PSG forward at the beginning of this week, offering to bring him on loan for the remainder of the campaign with an option to buy.
Fabrice Hawkins reports that the London club did everything in its power to add the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker to their squad, but in the end, Juventus manager Thiago Motta swayed the Frenchman.
Motta, who previously managed the PSG U-19 team, ended his playing career with Les Parisiens, helping them win five Ligue 1 titles before retiring in May 2018.
Juve initially wanted to make a loan move with an option to buy as well, but instead, both sides have decided on just a six-month loan.
AC Milan and Manchester United were the other teams in the mix to add Kolo Muani, who joined PSG for a mammoth €90m fee.
The 2022 World Cup runner-up has failed to live up to those lofty expectations in Paris, however, netting just two goals in 10 Ligue 1 appearances this season. Kolo Muani is expected to undergo his medical on Wednesday before officially completing this loan move later in the week.
