Mohamed Salah will LEAVE Liverpool in just over six months if things don’t change.

The 32-year-old forward is out of contract at the end of the season and so far there has been no indication that an agreement will be reached.

Liverpool were put on the back foot on Monday morning when quotes from Salah emerged, confirming that he had NOT yet been made an offer to extend his stay at Anfield.

The clock is ticking on Salah’s Liverpool career with both the club and the player’s camp now involved in a game of high-stakes poker over a contract extension.

Where will Salah move to?

It would appear Salah wants to stay at the club - if his latest comments are anything to go by - although it’s not yet known if the Reds’ decision-makers would be willing to sanction a renewal.

Salah doesn’t come cheap, earning an estimated £350,000 per week, and given his age the club will have to make a calculated gamble over whether the striker’s peak is passing.

If no deal is arranged then Salah will be leaving for nothing, just 12 months after Liverpool lost out on an estimated £130 million having rejected a bid from Al-Ittihad.

But where could Salah end up? We’ve assessed his options, based on the latest reports and rumours.

Al-Hilal

Perhaps the most likely destination for Mo Salah is Saudi giants Al-Hilal. Currently featuring Neymar as No.10 and only occasional star attraction, there are indications that Al-Hilal are ready to move on from Neymar given his injury problems.

If he is to leave then a new flagship player will be required - both for the Saudi Pro League and the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Salah’s name is very much admired in Saudi corridors of power and should no resolution be reached with Neymar over an extension then you could expect to see Salah in the SPL.

Al-Nassr

Reports last week emerged suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo had personally reached out to Salah over joining Al-Nassr. If Salah were to link up with the Portuguese superstar’s side then he would also end up as a teammate of former Liverpool colleague Sadio Mane.

However, given the criticism Mane has faced of late, that might well be a turn-off to Salah.

Al-Ittihad

At one stage last summer it appeared likely that Salah would end up at Al-Ittihad. The Jeddah giants were offering mindblowing sums to both Liverpool and Salah but the Reds ultimately resisted a £130m bid.

Chances of a Salah move to Al-Ittihad are decreasing however as efforts on the part of the PIF coalesce on getting Salah to the Club World Cup-bound Al-Hilal.

Paris Saint-Germain

While PSG are motoring along nicely in Ligue 1, they failed to land a superstar replacement for Kylian Mbappe last summer despite links to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Luis Diaz.

The likes of Bradley Barcola and Lee Kang-In have been in fine goalscoring form this season but Luis Enrique has had his run-ins with top draw Ousmane Dembele.

No doubt Salah would be an upgrade on PSG’s current options.

Barcelona

Reports linking Salah with a free transfer to Barcelona have been in the background all season long. However, given the hard-up Catalans’ financial situation, this one appears like a deal no amount of so-called levers could handle.

Plus Barcelona are in possession of two fine left-footed wingers of their own in Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. We can’t see this one happening, despite reports that club president Joan Laporta would love to shake up the football landscape by signing Salah.

Juventus

Juve have made a number of high-profile free transfers in the last decade and there’s no doubt Salah would be a shrewd piece of business.

However, with a €30m deal in place to finalise a permanent deal for Francisco Conceicao next summer, there might not be space in the squad for Salah on the wing.

San Diego FC

Perhaps a left-field option but there are legs in the rumour that San Diego FC of MLS would like to sign Salah. Does that sound random? Well it’s not so outlandish.

Club owner Sir Mohamed Mansour is an Egyptian-born billionaire who is reported to be keen to add Salah to the first-ever San Diego MLS roster in 2025. He would be a landmark arrival for the newly-formed franchise, who are set to become the 30th MLS club next season.

Galatasaray

The Turkish football media landscape was ablaze earlier this month when it was reported that Galatasaray were seeking to follow up their successful signing of Victor Osimhen with an eyebrow-raising free transfer for Salah.

According to 'leaked documents', the Istanbul giants would assemble a €20m-per-year package for Salah, heavily backed by sponsors, to become the Turkish Super Lig's flagship attraction.

Whether the Egyptian King would be inclined to move to Turkey at this stage of his career is not yet known.
