Chelsea are currently asking for a price of more than £47-£51m for Nicolas Jackson, with a summer departure a possibility according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues, who are currently in America at the Club World Cup have already signed Liam Delap from Ipswich for £30m.

Delap’s arrival has seen questions raised about Jackson’s future, but it’s been reported Chelsea are planning for the pair to be their options at centre forward next season.

Following Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Flamengo on Friday further questions have been raised after Jackson was sent off for a reckless challenge four minutes after coming off the bench.

It’s been reported Juventus have held explorative talks with Jackson’s camp, but nothing is thought to be imminent in terms of a move.

The Senegal international seemingly faces an unclear future at Stamford Bridge, and Romano has now provided an update on the situation.

“What I can say at the moment as of June 21st, Chelsea is asking a high price for Jackson because I am told he has interest from the Premier League, we are talking above £47-£51m (€55-60m),” he told his Italian Youtube channel.

“A possible departure for Jackson? Yes it’s possible, but in Italy it would only happen if Chelsea change their price.”

Jackson endured a difficult season in which he only managed ten Premier League goals, although he did score in the Conference League final, and if he were to leave Chelsea would need to bring another number nine.

Chelsea interested in Ekitike, Kudus and Pedro

Whether Jackson stays or leaves, Chelsea are still looking to bring in a versatile forward with Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix set to depart.

Chelsea have been linked with Hugo Ekitike, Mohammed Kudus and Joao Pedro, but are yet to make an official move for any of them.

Frankfurt are insisting on €100m for Ekitike, whilst Kudus has a release clause of £85m, although it’s thought West Ham might be willing to accept less.

The Blues face competition from Newcastle for Pedro, and it’s thought Brighton want around £60m for the Brazil international.
