Graham Potter has key absences to contend with
West Ham are without a key defender for this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
Graham Potter takes his Hammers side back to Villa Park for the second time this month, having lost in the FA Cup third-round in his first game in charge.
Potter is looking for a reaction following last week’s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace but his task has been made all the more difficult after a red card shown to Konstantinos Mavropanos.
The Greek international was sent off for two bookable offences last week and is forced to sit the trip to Villa Park out. Fellow central defender Jean-Clair Todibo is not involved either, with Vladimir Coufal coming into the side.
Jarrod Bowen is working his way back up to full fitness but both he and Crysencio Summerville remain out.
“Jarrod Bowen has been integrating in the group,” said Potter on Friday.
“He's had a couple of sessions, bit it's still early. We've got another day tomorrow so we'll see, but it's important we don't rush it
“It's the same with Cry, he's had a couple of sessions, but we need to see. There are no further problems from the weekend.
