Diverse programme of events for Werder fans around the stadium

SV Werder warmly invites fans to their 2025/26 season opening event. The Green-Whites will play a friendly against Italian top-division side Udinese at the Weserstadion on Saturday, 9th August (15:30 CEST). A diverse programme of events around the stadium has also been organised.

Udinese finished twelfth in Serie A at the end of the season just gone. Their German head coach Kosta Runjaic took charge of TSV 1860 München, 1. FC Kaiserslautern and MSV Duisburg in the 2. Bundesliga. The Bianconeri, who are based in the northeast of Italy, will be preparing for their opening league game against Hellas Verona, which will be played between 22nd and 24th August.

As well as a football match, there will be an exciting programme of events taking place around the stadium. Like in previous years, there will be activities for the whole family, as well as autograph opportunities from the women’s team and Werder legends. Incoming head coaches Fritzy Kromp and Horst Steffen will introduce themselves to the fans. The teams for the 2025/26 season will also be presented to supporters.
