The Rams have been linked with a loan move for the Liverpool defender this summer.

Derby County may have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Liverpool left-back Owen Beck.
The Rams were linked with a move for Beck last month, with Scottish giants Rangers and newly-promoted Championship side Wrexham also said to be keen on signing the defender on loan ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, as per Football Insider.
Now, Derby may face less competition to sign the 22-year-old on loan this summer, as Wrexham are set to break their transfer record by bringing in Empoli left-back Liberato Cacace for a fee worth up to £4 million, according to Pete O'Rourke.
We asked our Derby fan pundit, Shaun Woodward, whether he thinks the club should be looking to bring Beck to Pride Park on loan now that Wrexham seem to have found their new left-back.
"I am not saying that we desperately need Owen Beck, because I think there are lots of decent young full-backs out there that we could be looking at, but it does make sense," Shaun said.
"He is someone that John Eustace knows already. He had him at Blackburn last season, and he could come in and there would not be that initial 'get to know you' process, because he already knows the lad, he knows what is expected of him, and if Eustace goes back to a system similar to the one he used at Blackburn, it will be quite a simple fit into the team.
"More importantly, we just need some younger players down the sides, especially the full-backs and the wing-backs. We have got a very aging squad, and with Forsyth and Callum Elder as your two left-backs or wing-backs, you desperately need some youth in there to support them and give them some competition.
"Those two will struggle this season, I think, if they are the only two we have got down the left. It is a similar situation down the right with Nyambe, who is injured. We just have a real lack of youth down our sides.
"I do think that it is a really key position that we need to strengthen, the full-backs in general, so I would be happy to see Owen Beck come to Derby, and it would be an obvious one given the fact he has got a good relationship with Eustace, so watch this space."
When Derby were linked with a loan move for Beck earlier this summer, it seemed as though it was a deal that could be difficult to complete with Rangers and Wrexham also said to be interested.
Competing for trophies in Scotland is an attractive prospect for most young players, while a temporary switch to North Wales would have seen the defender return to the city of his birth.
Of course, the fact that Beck enjoyed a successful loan spell at Blackburn under the management of Eustace put Derby in a good position to win the race for his signature, but now that Wrexham are set to sign Cacace from Empoli, the Rams could have a free run if they look to get a deal over the line.
Eustace will hope that Rangers' interest has cooled if he does decide to make an approach, but either way, Derby's chances of landing Beck this summer look to have improved.
