After a large spell of Cagliari pressure, AC Milan would be the team to refind the lead with Tammy Abraham making a near-instant impact.
Milan probably deserved to go into half-time with an advantage. However, their opening to the second half had certainly caused some worry. Nevertheless, the Rossoneri would be the ones to find themselves in the lead once again almost 20 minutes from time.
Starting with Theo Hernandez, the Diavolo spread the play to the right, where Christian Pulisic drove into the box. After entering the area, the winger tried to fire the ball into the far corner, and his shot was parried into the path of Abraham who tapped home for his first open-play goal.
The Englishman was chosen to start on the bench with Francesco Camarda starting, due to Abraham’s recent return from injury.
