A piece of head-turning footage, stemming from the weekend meeting between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, has today come to the fore online.

The clip in question was captured by a fan in attendance at the matchup, and captures the despairing reaction of two Barcelona stars to a 2nd-half miss on the part of Robert Lewandowski.

Barca, of course, were put to the sword for the latest occasion on Saturday night.

After welcoming Diego Simeone’s Atlético to Catalunya’s capital for a top-of-the-table clash, the Blaugrana surrendered a first-half advantage, en route to an eventual 2-1 defeat.

Hansi Flick’s troops missed a whole host of clear-cut chances to put Atlético to bed over the course of the 90 minutes, with the most blatant of all having been the responsibility of the aforementioned Robert Lewandowski.

Laid of by way of a perfect touch from Ferran Torres (who may have been offside), the Pole looked as though he could not miss from just six yards out.

Lewandowski, however, went on to completely fluff his lines, barely making contact with the ball, allowing the visitors to clear their lines.

And the significance of as much, when it came, was certainly not lost on his teammates…
