Four in the running: Tijjani Reijnders, Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leão and Youssouf Fofana are all in contention to win the MVP of the month award for November 2024. AC Milan finished the penultimate month of the year unbeaten, picking up four wins and playing out two draws. Particularly unforgettable was the victory at the Bernabeu on 5 November.

Many players played their part, but the four mentioned above stood out in particular. Let’s start with Tijjani Reijnders, who was an inspirational figure in the team’s last match against Empoli and found the net four times in November. He bagged the winner against Monza at the Brianteo, netted the Rossoneri’s third in the 3-1 victory over Real Madrid, provided a wonderful assist against Cagliari and scored a brace against the Tuscans.

November was also a very positive month for Rafa Leão, who got on the scoresheet in Cagliari (a brace) and Bratislava. He was also the MVP from the night at the Bernabeu (what an assist for Reijnders!) and, in general, put all his talent at the disposal of the side. Two of his three assists (one in Cagliari and the other in Bratislava) were for Youssouf Fofana, who displayed quality throughout the month. Indispensable in the Rossoneri midfield, he picked out Reijnders for the Dutchman’s second goal against Empoli at San Siro.

Christian Pulisic’s November numbers didn’t quite match those of September and October, but he opened the scoring against Slovan in the Champions League and registered two assists, first for Thiaw’s goal in Madrid (from a corner) and then for Reijnders’s first strike against Empoli. Chris also scored twice and provided an assist away on international duty with the USA.
