On-loan Barcelona starlet Vitor Roque personally made sure of the fact that he will be permitted to line out in fixtures involving his parent club this coming season.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the situation.

Frontman Roque’s long-awaited Barcelona departure was of course finally made official late last night.

Whilst his teammates were busy getting the better of Athletic Club, the Brazilian starlet put pen to paper on loan terms with Real Betis.

As part of a complicated agreement, Roque is in line to take to the pitch in Betis’ colours for the next two seasons, after which the Verdiblancos will have the option to make his signing permanent.

Barcelona, meanwhile, also boast a buyback option.

During discussions between the parties, the Camp Nou brass also attempted to include a further beneficial detail, by way of a fear clause.

As much would have prevented Roque from lining out against the Blaugrana whilst on loan away from the club.

As per MD, however, the 19-year-old point blank refused to agree to as much:

‘As is usual in the loan contracts of its players, Barça wanted to include the fear clause so that Vitor Roque could not face the Blaugrana team when they face Real Betis. However, Tigrinho has not accepted that condition and, therefore, will be able to face Barça.’
