The exploits put forth by Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. in the club’s meeting with Bayern Munich on Tuesday saw the Brazilian secure for himself an altogether impressive season benchmark.

Vinícius, for his part, of course proved himself the star of the show late last night.

As much came after Real Madrid made the trip to Germany, for the first leg of the club’s Champions League semi-final tie with Bayern Munich.

When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops battled their way to a 2-2 draw, in turn no doubt fancying their chances of seeing out the job back in Spain’s capital next week.

And Vinícius bagged both of his side’s goals, opening the scoring at the Allianz Arena courtesy of a fine first-time finish, before slotting home from the penalty spot late on to bring Real Madrid level on the night.

And, in the process, the 23-year-old overtook teammate Jude Bellingham when it comes to Los Blancos’ most decisive figures in the final third across the season to date.

This comes with Vinícius having now directly contributed to 32 goals across all competitions (21 goals, 11 assists), one more than Englishman Bellingham with 31 (21 goals, 10 assists).
