Vinícius Jr. opens up on Real Madrid contract situation | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has on Monday provided an insight into his ongoing contract negotiations with the club.

Wide-man Vinícius, for his part, has long been locked in talks with those in the boardroom in Spain’s capital, over the possibility of renewing his contract terms.

To date, no definitive agreement has been reached, giving rise to speculation surrounding a potential incoming departure for the Brazilian.

Amid what has been an at-times tumultuous couple of years for Vinícius in La Liga, a number of Saudi clubs are understood to be keen on his services.

Safe to say, however, that if the player himself has his way, he will be going nowhere any time soon.

Speaking to the media during a press conference on Monday, Vinícius was asked for an update on his future, and contract talks.

And the 24-year-old went on to explain:

“Saudi Arabia? I’m very calm because I have a contract until 2027 and I can’t wait to renew it. This is the best place to be. I play with the best. I’m very happy.”
