Reece James has had yet another long injury absence, making his return today as a late sub against Nottingham Forest.

As ever, he didn’t hesitate to get stuck in. He clipped up a great cross for Nicolas Jackson to head in to win the game. He looked like a man possessed in his time on the pitch.

The fans loved him anyway, but a moment like this was extra special. As he went to applaud the away support at full time, they serenaded him with a round of “he’s one of our own.”

He’s heard it plenty of times before, but we reckon this one was extra special for him. The fans are always great at showing him how much he means to them, and he loves to give appreciation back, as he does here. We can’t wait to see him play 90 minutes.
