Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has this weekend hit back at claims surrounding the mental wellbeing of star attacker Kylian Mbappé.
The subject of Mbappé’s headspace has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Spain over recent weeks.
This comes amid claims that the early struggles of the summer arrival in Madrid may come as a result of ongoing problems with his mental health.
Mbappé’s omission from France’s squad for the November international break only served in adding to these claims, after Didier Deschamps confirmed that he had left the 25-year-old out despite Mbappé making himself available for selection.
Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s post-break return to action on Sunday, it therefore came as little surprise when the rumours surrounding his attacking star were put to the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti.
And, safe to say, Real Madrid’s headmaster appeared less than amused in his response:
“Kylian Mbappé has mental problems? What a question. I see him happy. You speculating about this… it’s very ugly.”
