Vanderson is called up by Carlo Ancelotti, the new coach of Brazil | OneFootball

The Auriverde right-back, who has made 29 appearances this season in Ligue 1 with AS Monaco, has been called up by the new Brazilian coach to play two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup.

The bench has a new face, but he remains on the roster. While former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has just been appointed head coach of the Seleção, he has included Monaco full-back Vanderson in his first squad. The Rouge et Blanc number two has thus been called up by the five-time Champions League winner for Brazil’s upcoming fixtures.

Currently fourth in South American qualifying, just one point ahead of the sixth-placed teams, the Auriverde need to gain some breathing room in the standings.
