Feyenoord are interested in Valencia defender Yarek Gasiorowski (20), according to Voetbal International’s Martin Krabbendam.
The 6 ft 3 man-marker, who was previously also in the picture at PSV, is considered a potential successor to Dávid Hancko at De Kuip. The question is to what extent his arrival is feasible.
In recent months, Gasiorowski has been linked to clubs such as Arsenal and RB Leipzig in foreign media, while last year, Inter were also said to have shown interest. It is clear that the centre-back is open to leaving Valencia.
Since the appointment of coach Carlos Corberán, the Spanish youth international with Polish roots has lost his starting place at Mestalla.
Valencia extended Gasiorowski’s contract in February until the summer of 2027, but will probably cooperate on a transfer if a good enough offer is made. It remains to be seen whether Feyenoord will be the club to take him, given the interest from major European leagues.
The Rotterdammers reportedly also looked at Tsuyoshi Watanabe as a successor to Hancko, but found KAA Gent’s demands a little too high.
