Valencia are fresh off a hugely underwhelming 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Alavés on Sunday.

Not only that, but en route to as much, Los Che were also dealt a fresh pair of injury blows.

With the likes of José Luis Gayà, Fran Pérez and Mouctar Diakhaby already ruled out for the remainder of the campaign, Rubén Baraja then watched on as Jesús Vázquez and Jaume Doménech were forced into respective departures from the action at Mestalla.

And, as confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, citing Valencia’s official radio channel, both are in line for upcoming spells on the sidelines.

In the case of Jaume, who was afforded his first league start in two years against Alavés, the goalkeeper is thought to have picked up a muscular problem in his thigh.

An MRI has been scheduled, with the expectation being that Jaume’s campaign is all but over.

And a similar absence is predicted for defender Vázquez, who is also in line for a round of medical tests over the coming hours.
